General Information
Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS, also postural tachycardia syndrome, PoTS) is a condition where a change from the supine puzzle (lying down, with your side up) to an upright position causes an irregularly large extend in heart rate, called tachycardia. Several studies show a decrease in cerebral blood flow. Patients with POTS have problems sustaining homeostasis when changing position, for example: woful from one chair to another or reaching to a higher place their heads. Many patients also experience symptoms when inactive or raze while lying down.
Symptoms depend on the severity of the patient. POTS bath be severely debilitating. Some patients are unable to be school or work, and especially severe cases can on the whole disable the patient.
Symptoms and Characteristics
The most common and classic symptom of POTS is an increase in heart rate from the supine to upright position of more than 30 beats per sharp or to a heart rate greater than 120 beats per minute within 12 minutes of head-up tilt.

* cold extremities

* disorientation
* headache
* muscle weakness
* visual disturbances

* chills
* flushing
* overheating
* over-stimulation
