It provides you with basic or particular information that you may admire or need throughout your life. For example, it provides you with your culture; where you came from and what your background is. It may provide you with information about your relatives, who they were and how their actions and beliefs influence who you are as a person in today. Furthermore, it differentiates who you are as unlike to your friends, enemies, or regular acquaintances. I build had m either people, invigoration and dead, whose actions in the past influenced who I am today and what I am made of. However, a person in my life, noneffervescent living, that to this day exemplifies the true meaning of family and kindness, is none other than my 73 year old grandmother. Although she has not grown up during any specific movement in history, she came of age during the 1940s and 50s, a time which influenced her tremendously. Furthermore, the following will reveal certain aspects of life that my grandmother experienced that influence how my life is today, using her component part to tell the story. My name is Mary-Ann Fox and I was born and raise in Greenpoint, Brooklyn in 1939.

I humpd in a 4 family home along with my mother, cousins, aunts and uncles. On the down side, my father left wing when I was very little, and at this time it was unheard of to live with just my mother. Living in Greenpoint definitely had a expectant impact on my life. Everyone knew each other. It was like a downcast community or family if you will. Whether it was your neighbor, your best friend down the block, or the local deli owner, everybody would lend a helping make it and show a friendly face if needed.
